NewJeans LEGALLY Blocked from Solo Projects—1 Billion KRW Penalty Per Violation?!

NewJeans Legally Silenced: 1 Billion KRW Fine If They Go Solo?!

On May 30, the Seoul Central District Court officially ruled that NewJeans cannot engage in any solo or third-party entertainment activities without getting ADOR’s green light first. This decision, part of an ongoing legal war over their exclusive contract, comes with a jaw-dropping consequence: any violation will cost the group 1 billion KRW (around $725,000 USD) each time. 💸

This follows earlier court rulings from March and April restricting the group from signing separate ad deals. With the next court date set for June 5, tensions between NewJeans and ADOR are hitting a boiling point.

Let’s just say... K-netizens did not hold back. 😬

> “We won’t see NewJeans for a long time…”
“Wow, 1 billion per violation?! They’re better off going silent now.”
“Honestly, justice is served. They tried to act above the law.”
“Min Hee Jin, the law firm, AND the members? All three to blame. GG.”

While some are slamming the group, others are mourning the loss of NewJeans' presence in the K-pop scene. Either way, the internet is on fire. 🔥

What This Could Mean ?

With such a harsh legal ruling in place, don’t expect to see NewJeans performing, collaborating, or promoting any time soon. This decision seriously strengthens ADOR’s hand and leaves the group frozen until their contract dispute gets sorted out in court. I think the trust is broken beyond repair—and at this point, any comeback might be more complicated than it’s worth. 😕
