Is ALLDAY’s Debut a Flop or the Future of K-pop? Netizens Sound Off After “FAMOUS” Drops 👀

THE BLACK LABEL’s new co-ed group ALLDAY just dropped their highly-anticipated debut track “FAMOUS,” and the internet has opinions. From cultural appropriation claims to AI controversy, their launch is already splitting the K-pop world in half.

HERE'S THE BUZZ 🐝

On June 16, THE BLACK LABEL finally unveiled ALLDAY's debut single and music video, “FAMOUS.” Billed as a revolutionary co-ed group, the hype was sky-high… but the reactions? Not so much.

While a few fans praised the visuals and performance, a huge wave of netizens slammed the lyrics and production as “generic,” blaming Teddy’s recycled formula.

Some fans even questioned whether Youngseo made the right move leaving ILLIT for this. And that wasn’t the end of it — member Tarzzan was once again called out for cultural appropriation, and the MV’s AI visuals only added more fire to the backlash.

FANS REACTION 💬

ALL THAT HYPE FOR THIS NONSENSE…”

“Tarzzan still appropriating cultures and y’all still defending him? Be serious.”

“Sooooooo… good song imo… but… CA celebrated and blatantly displayed in a MV made with AI? c’mon now.”

“Why did Youngseo leave ILLIT for this mess 😭”

Others defended the debut, calling it “forced hate” and saying the song slaps if you stop overanalyzing it.

MY HONEST TAKE 🐝

Let’s be real — this was always going to be a controversial debut. ALLDAY came in hot with bold visuals and huge expectations, but when you launch under THE BLACK LABEL, comparisons and criticism are inevitable. Personally? “FAMOUS” had potential, but the AI overload and yet another cultural appropriation moment distracted from the actual music. It's not a total flop, but it definitely wasn’t the revolution fans were promised. I’ll be diving deep into all the accusations and backlash in my upcoming YouTube video.
