BTS 2025 comeback rumors may be heating up, but another boy group is facing serious internal shake-ups. The Boyz just lost a member — and fans are stunned over the real reason behind his sudden departure.
HERE'S THE BUZZ 🐝
On June 18, Ju Haknyeon officially withdrew from The Boyz — and no, it wasn’t just “personal reasons.” Korean media has confirmed that Haknyeon’s exit came after he was spotted in Tokyo with former Japanese AV actress Kirara Asuka during a private gathering. The two were seen closely interacting at a bar in Roppongi on May 29, with photos showing skinship moments like hugging and her resting her chin on his shoulder.
One Hundred Label initially tried to play it safe, citing vague "personal matters" on June 16. But with Japanese outlet Shukan Bunshun dropping the receipts (and fans already speculating), the agency had no choice but to come clean. Now, The Boyz are continuing as a 10-member group while Sangyeon completes his military service.
FANS REACTION 😬
It didn’t take long for the internet to react:
I never expected this from Ju Haknyeon 💀”
“Why throw away your career like this?”
“TBZ deserved better, the timing is so bad.”
“As if scandals weren't enough this year…”
Some fans are heartbroken. Others? Not so forgiving. The mix of disappointment, betrayal, and pure gossip is all over X (Twitter) right now.
MY HONEST TAKE 🐝
Let’s be real — idols are human. But when you’re part of a K-pop group, every move matters. Meeting a former AV actress in a private setting isn’t inherently wrong, but the timing, secrecy, and imagery just don't sit well in an industry built on a squeaky-clean image. The Boyz were gaining more attention internationally, and this controversy feels like a huge misstep.
Was it worth it? Probably not.
What Do You Think ?
Do you think Ju Haknyeon deserved to be kicked out? Or is this another case of K-pop idols being held to impossible standards?
