On June 11, MODEN BERRY KOREA addressed the circulating reports that they signed Kim Garam, denying the claims outright by stating the rumors were “completely unfounded.”
The speculation started after Kim Garam opened a personal social media account on May 18, posting fresh new photos — a move many interpreted as a soft comeback. Reports then claimed she was in positive talks with the agency, but that deal now appears to be off the table.
For context: Kim Garam debuted with LE SSERAFIM in May 2022 under Source Music (HYBE). But even before the group’s debut, she faced intense scrutiny due to school bullying allegations. Despite her agency’s defense, things escalated after the School Violence Countermeasure Committee confirmed she had been involved and received disciplinary action. By July 2022, she left both the group and the agency.
