Jin Breaks Silence on the ARIRANG Credit Controversy… But Was It the Right Call?

Jin has finally addressed the ongoing ARIRANG album credit controversy, where fans noticed his name was missing from the project’s official songwriting and production credits.

According to Jin, the reason is actually very simple: by the time he joined the project, over 100 songs had already been created, and the album was practically finished. He revealed that he only had about one week to participate in recording, meaning there was no time to deeply contribute to production or composition.

Instead of delaying the entire project for months, the team decided to move forward as planned—and Jin accepted the situation without any conflict. He also reassured fans that more opportunities to contribute creatively will come in the future.

The reaction online is surprisingly mixed:

“At least he explained it clearly, respect.”

“So he was basically added at the last minute??”

“They should’ve delayed it for him tbh…”

“Jin staying calm as always 😭”

“This makes sense but also feels kinda rushed…”

Some fans are praising his professionalism, while others feel uncomfortable that a major member had such limited creative input.

This situation highlights something fans often forget: not every album cycle allows equal creative participation, especially when timelines are tight and production is already locked.

From a Buzz Hive perspective, this feels less like drama and more like a schedule vs artistry conflict. The team had two options:

Delay the project for months to include Jin fully

Or release the album on time with limited participation from him

They chose the second—and it clearly prioritized momentum over perfection.

But here’s the real question: in a group as big as BTS, should timing always win over artistic balance?

What Do You Think?

Should the album have been delayed so Jin could fully contribute… or was moving forward the smarter industry decision?
